Graze @ KL Hilton

Was cracking my head to think of where to bring Mike for his birthday
without having to put a major dent in my wallet
but at the same time, it has to be a nice place :P

I checked out Graze's menu online and
it's actually quite affordable
compared to my first original choice, Mandarin Grill.

I haven't eaten at Mandarin Grill before :(
*HINT HINT*

Anyway, the food @ Graze was pretty average (in my opinion).
I enjoyed the calamari the most
and celery sticks.

Service also wasn't up to mark.
Our wine was forgotten until we reminded.

Strato, Troika

Just when I thought that the only few places that serve decent Italian food in town was La Risata and Verona Trattoria,  my sister introduced me to Strato. Yay to more options.

I really enjoyed my meal here.
The salad's great.
So was the squid ink pasta.
And not forgetting the seafood pizza :)

Tea for Three

My sister is literally a food directory
thanks to her innate food 'hunting' skills
by scouring through food blogs.

We were looking for a new place to have tea around town
and my sister suggested to head to Maison Francaise located along Jalan Kia Peng.

Love the buttery croissants.
Hate the carbs.

19 July 2013

It wasn't exactly the proposal setting that I've always imagined that I'd receive.
I've always pictured it to be over an intimate dinner in a fancy restaurant.

Just picture a very nervous Mike down on one knee
while mumbling those very four words -
"Will you marry me?"
in my own bedroom
and not forgetting, in the dark.

After a few hours,
when my emotions had settled in,
I remembered the whole proposal scene
and what baffled me was
the darkness.

My vision at night/in the dark isn't very good
and I couldn't really see his face clearly.

"WHY didn't you turn on the lights?"
"...because your lighting isn't nice. It's fluorescent."

-_-
